Hey Olive Egger people! I want to try and breed some this spring. I'm looking for that really pretty dark olive color. I want a black copper maran rooster but what's the best hen to use to create the olive egger?

Auracana or cream legbar... or an Easter Egger that lays rich blue eggs

My boyfriend just discovered his "barred rock" is actually an olive egger! So I thought, maybe part cuckoo marans? But it looks like the barred pattern, not cuckoo. And yellow legs. Only unusual thing is a weird-looking pea comb? I wonder how this happened.

I just hatched 4 of them and 1 Americana polish mixed does anybody know what the Americana polish mixes egg color would be this is my Americana polish mix

Has anyone ordered Cackle Hatchery Olive Eggers? If so, are you happy with them, and what shade of eggs are you getting? The description says they are a Welsummer X Black Ameracauna cross. Last year I believe they didn't offer them sexed but looks like this year they do!!
