So we'll see what happens in 5-6 months. And yes, any you have with feathered shanks are from him. My welsummer and Ameraucana's are clean legged, as they should be.
He gets better looking every time I see him. He's such a beauty. He hatched from an olive egg and his mama hatched from an olive egg and possibly his grandmama hatched from an olive egg - and they all had pure BCM roos for daddys. I sure wish I could get a guy that looked like him. I started my olive egg flock with an EE hen that lived with the pure BCMs. She laid light blue/green eggs. I hatched several of her eggs and those birds all laid olive eggs. I've been hatching only olive eggers ever since and always breeding the female olive egg layers back to pure BCM roos.
