Thank you

I plan on putting her in with the welsummers when I separate them next month.

I haven't been around for awhile! Been pretty busy lately.

I had to share though!!! I got my first olive egg today from one of my Olive Eggers!

Very pretty egg, and I usually do not like the darker colored eggs (green). But that is pretty and very nice sized too.

Oh it's gorgeous, sooooo very excited, I can't wait for my girls to start laying, how old is yours?

I'd have to double check my records (they are on the other computer) but I want to say 27-28 weeks.

Your babies grew into some beautiful birds!

Thanks, they came from some wonderful stock

I'd love to see some pictures of your OE's. My others are about 18 weeks so it looks like I have some waiting to do, but it's so worth it.

It's pretty cold out up here! Not sure when I can get some recent pics. I only kept 4 pullets, three are solid black and one is solid blue. I also have 2 roos but they will most likely end up in the freezer. They like to crow for 10 minutes, every hour all through the night.

One of the roos looks just like a BCM roo with a pea comb and beard and the other looks like a blue birchen Marans with a pea comb and beard, very pretty but very loud!

There are some Olive Egger peeps available in Northern Californeeya - a friend of mine was growing them out but is now ready to part with them except the blue ones. Ony F1s, the 3rd Gens are still being watched as long as possible. Maybe some blue roosties if they show themselves soon enough.
