The top 12 eggs are 2nd generation OEs, the one on the bottom left in the carton is obviously a 1st generation breeding, according to Wynette. My picture washed the egg color out some, especially the lighter first gen egg.
I'm putting these eggs in the bator probably tonight around midnight, 3 weeks seems like an eternity from now!!!
Thank you for the eggs Wynette you just made me and Debi both very happy!
Gosh I havent posted in along time...so Im back...my girls all kept laying heavy during winter here in texas, which most nights was dow to as low as 22...they kept on going strong!!!! Im so proud of them....lol
So my mother in law gave me what she says is a BLUE SPLASH MARANS...he is beautiful!!! Im not sure that is what he is but she says he is....so I put a EE with him, she lays blue eggs...what color do you think her eggs will be now? Ive had her in there with him now 2wks.....Im guess in a month I should see his DNA in her eggs?
Jeremy, I wondered if they arrived yesterday - glad they made it okay, but I am not seeing the 14th egg I sent - was that one cracked in shipment or something? Please let me know...I keep records on these things. Thanks, and BEST of luck on the hatch!

Oooh! What colors did you get? I've been hatching ones that look like wellies- those are the F2s, and the ones that are blonde chipmnunks are OE x Am. Can't wait to see what they lay. That's awesome- so glad they survived the trip!

Definitely doing well, this is my first hatch too so I'm glad I didn't completely screw it up, lol.
I have had 9 hatch so far I think. Three are the lavenders
so precious. I definitely have some blonde chipmunks mostly right now. ANd I think one that looked more like a welsummer chick. I will have to check again. I know one or two are easter eggers and I can't remember which is which, lol.
