The Olive-Egger thread!

ok well thanks….. so ive got myself 2 girl olive eggers or EEs….. will they go broody?

Any chicken can go broody. MOST hatchery breeds don't, but Marans and Ameraucanas both will go broody so the answer is.... MAYBE. I have a lot of chickens and I have only had a few try to go broody.

My white EE, hatched 12 Blue Barred Rocks on Monday and My Marans who also thought it would be neat to have a clutch ( I did not set her, she collected eggs herself) she hatched out on Monday too, she has 6 Marans or Olive Egger.

This has been going on at my house all summer these two make my 6th and 7th broody... Hope that answers you question.

I have a girl very similar to yours. She's half blue orpington and half Blue Wheaten Ameraucana.
