"Heard you came out here alone... I was wondering what Midnight is really like, she makes me kind of nervous. I'm not scared of Queen tho.." she said, patting Queen on the head. The scar on her arm perfectly visible in the fading light.

"Were'd you get that scar?" He asked.

"I was attacked by wolves. I fought them off tho." She said, looking at the scar " When you have lived thru bear and wolf attacks, as well as being left to die, you learn to face and overcome your fears. You will someday not fear Queen at all."

"Ha! i could never get over my fear of dogs- i mean wolfs... My father was abusive and used to have a dog..." He looked away, "That's were i got this scar," He poitned to a thin line down the left side of his face, "I ran away when i was six..."

"Hmmmm...my mom was abusive, if I did one little thing wrong, BAM! I got knocked to the ground and she would send the pitt/shepherd cross on me."

"i know how you feel..." Without realizing it through the conversation Zaid had placed his arm around the wolf's neck and was rubbing her head, he looked down and jerked his hand away, "We shoudl be getting back." he stated looking at the sun witch was almost gone.

Zaid suddenly heard a war screech. Queen pricked her ears and dashed off in the direction of the war screech. She looked back with big, worried eyes, then ran on.
It was Midnight.
"Get out of here!" She yelled at a truck size black swan. She brought her knife into its side and it dropped to the ground. Midnight was covered in blood. She was panting hard. She suddenly dropped to the ground.
Queen saw what happened, and she raced back to Zaid. She tugged on his shirt sleeve whining and with big, scared eyes.

Queen tugged at Zaids shirt and whined harder. 'Come!' her eyes said. 'Master is hurt!'
