Queen placed her paw in his hand and her eyes and outline began to glow a dark blue, the full moon burning a sharp hole in the night. Suddenly, Zaids pain stopped.

'When I was very little, I-I...' Her voice shook a little. 'I was just discovering my powers, and I accadentaly...' She broke off, wiping away her tears. 'killed the towns elderly woman. So my old village killed Ma and Pa, and all my brothers and sisters, and I was chained to a wall, watching them murder my family...' she broke off again. 'then one of them tried to burn my leg off.' Queen turned to reveal a harsh looking burn marking. 'I managed to get away. The villagers set fire to my old den, and they threw rocks at me. I ran and ran, crying out, and one of the villagers threw a sword at me, which sliced part of my jaw.' She turned to reveal a deep wound on her muzzle near her jaw, sliced on the inside and out. 'And then, my angel, Midnight came and killed them all. She took me in, raised up my confidence, healing my wounds inside. Now she is as powerful as I am.' Her body quivering, her voice shaking, her eyes wet.
