"The Black Bloods, Max. I have 48 hours to live." She said, staring into his eyes, trembling violently.

He furrowed his brows, "I don't understand?"

"The Black Bloods took me away, injected me with poison, and told me I have 48 hours to live." Mali explained, teary eyed.

"They can always be lying. You know, to scare you."

"But why would they do that, Max? There's no point in doing it. They knew that if they didn't completely kill me, I would keep attacking their warriors."
