"Don't feel bad, Max." She said, eyes soft. Tears still overflowed from her jade green eyes, but she still dared to face him.

"We'll... we'll figure something out." She replied, her face betraying fear. "I know we will." she whispered, trying to convince herself. And then she buried her face in her hands and muffled sobs could be heard.

She got up from her spot across from him and sat beside him, "You sure?"

Seth walked into the camp and saw Mali sobbing and, even though he had no idea who she was, he walked over and sat next to her. He put his hand on her shoulder and said "Hey, hey, it's okay. What's wrong? Why are you so sad?"
