Once they were out the door Adam asked, "Past the river or lake?"

She walked alongside him. "I don't care."

"Let's change it up and go past the river." He started to walk west.

Adam sat on a big rock and put all his stuff next to it. He wipped his forehead of sweat.

She pulled herself up onto the rock, sitting beside him.

He listened to the birds chirp and flit from tree to tree, "Nice out here."

"Yea," She replied with a half smile "I love it out here."

His smile started to turn to a frown, "Where'd all the birds go?" He asked as he looked all around for birds.
