"I am Livv Parker, I had heard rumors of an outsiders camp here & I came to join it if possible."

Jinx ran through the trees, the wind rushing through her tail. She flicked her ears happily and climbed to the top of an aspen, admiring the view. Something on the ground caught her attention. What is that? she wondered, climbing down the tree for a closer look. Good heavens! It's a person! Is he dead? She jumped out of the tree, cautiously approaching Seth (I know a boy named Seth). When she saw that he was breathing she ran up to him, standing on his shoulder to get a better look at him. Poor thing, he's half starved, she thought. "Hey, you!" she said. "Wake up!"
(BTW, she's in her squirrel form right now.)

Seth stirred a bit then managed to open his eyes. When he saw a squirrel standing on his shoulder looking at him, he was surprised to say the least. He wasn't able to hear what Jinx had said, since she had still been in animal form, but he could still tell that this was more than just a squirrel. "Who are you?" he finally managed.

Ok. sounds great! Oh, and Jinx hasn't joined the outsiders yet.

Cool! That (her not being part of the Outsiders yet) shouldn't be a problem, though. When she gets back, what she did should be enough for her to join without much trouble.

"Finally!" Jinx said. "You're awake. I'm Jinx. Who are you, how did you get here, and when did you last eat?"

(is she still in squirrel form? if she is, he can't hear her.)

Because she may be an "outsider," but she's still an animal. An Outsider with the power to speak with animals could understand her, as well as another Outsider in animal form, but otherwise, she would just sound like a squirrel. Make sense?
