Malitihwah (just gonna call her Mali form now on...) suddenly felt fearful and shapeshifted into a wolf. She was a shimmering white with blue eyes and bloodstained teeth.
"Stay back!" She barked. She was fearful from being tortured and beaten her entire life. She gazed at Max and was afraid to come. "I'll fight if I have to!" At this point she was very fearful, crying, remembering her painful past.

She warily turned back into a human with sparkling green eyes and fair skin, her black hair waving in the wind, suddenly appearing gorgeous. "I, I was looking for a place to go, away from the pain and blood I faced from being beaten." She pulled up her sleeve and revealed a burn mark. "One villager in town almost burned my arm." She revealed a knife. "This saved my life."
Mali was very nervous. This was the first time she had faced another. "I-I'm sorry, but I'm very scared. I'm not sure what to expect."

Max went up to her and pulled her up. "Come one. We'll get you some shelter and food and water. A storm is coming. I can feel it." He looked up and the sky for a quick second and saw dark gray clouds forming. "About a month ago our water was poinsoned but the Healer managed to clean it out. You'll be safe here."

"I never thought I'd be safe again." She followed him. "I-I can feel by life just slipping away. Ugh, I'm so sorry, you must think I'm crazy." She felt the urge to cry on someone's shoulder, as she'd never had a family.
"You must think I'm totally insane, I'm crying and I've just met you."
