She shook her head, "No, didn't hear it."

Mali came around a corner from where the shadow was spotted, to the lake, and she sat down far away from Madge and Adam but she was still visible. mali suddenly dipped two fingers into a jar with teal paint and brushed it across her cheeks. she then dipped two fingers in a jar of green pain, and smeared it from her temples on both sides, then down her jawline. she redipped two fingers into the green paint and smeared it below the blue lines on her cheeks. It was her war paint.

Mali dipped three fingers into the blue paint then brushes it through her black hair, leaving a blue streak. She grabbed a metal headpiece that covered her eyebrows and had blue glass over her eyes. She placed it around her head. Mali then sighed, drawing her sword.

"Let's leave." Adam said urgently.

She stood, brushing dirt off her butt. "Okay."

Adam picked up his bow and arrows and headed back to camp.

Mali stepped in Adams way, war paint completed. "What is with your sudden urgency?" She asks, eyes sharper than a blade.
