He shrugged, "Alright, then." Turning on his heel.

"I don't know, but I don't like it out here anymore."

She didn't stop him, nor did she want him to leave. Instead she turned around and ran to the lake.

"Neither do I...." He listened carefully, "Do you hear that?" He asked Madge.

 

[Broken]

He turned around unseen, and tracked her.

"No."

Her mind was whirling. She didn't know what to think of what just happened. She continued running, oblivious to James.

"I hear... Wings. Powerful wings."

 

[Broken]

He continued to follow.

"Let's go home."

Once she got to the lake she kneeled down and splashed water in her face.

He nodded and started to fly towards their cabin.

He watched her from the shadows where he stood leaning against the rough bark of an oak.

 

[Broken]

Madge followed.

She wipped off her face and sat back on her butt, bringing her knees up. She hugged her knees and watched the water.

"Hurry." Adam said, "I think something might be following us."

 

[Broken]

His head tilted to the side ever so slightly as he watched her, refraining from saying anything.

She nodded wordlessly, speeding up.
