James grinned, looking over at her.

"Definitely, it was a bird. I think it was serious about the threats though."

"Yeah." Adam said, "Do you think that... this bird thing could be somehow related to Diana's death?"

"What?!"

"I bet it is, since it targets mostly us."

He didn't reply, just grinned.

"Then we need to destroy it like we did to Diana..." He thought, "But then again it could be even stronger than her...."

She looked away.

"And like you said, it could just be playing with us."

He toyed with the fire, sending sparks dancing to her feet.

She looked at her feet then looked up at him.

She sighed, watching him. "What are we going to do?"

"So what are you really out here for?"

Ella's heart thumped, "I'm... bored."

"Well," Adam said with thought, "we will maybe have to just stand and fight."

He grinned "Sure you are, you know it isn't that hard to tell when your hearts skittering."

"Well, maybe I don't want to."
