Big news in the PNW flock!
In our feather recovery pen, one of our hens in our small flock, or a trio of them, have been hiding eggs in their secret nests in the briar patch! There were three nests, 12 eggs in total, and apparently, five are fertile, and already possibly a week in!
(If they hatch)
Since we cannot handle more chickens, especially roosters, and this sprung upon us all of a sudden, we will possibly have to give them away....
But fortunately, our neighbor has been wanting chickens, so we will likely offer some to him if they do hatch!
They say 109!
