The Peabody Marching Ducks

I thought those ducks might be the only ones more spoiled than mine, but then i read that the ducks only stay for 3-4 months each and then are released. If that's the case, i think mine are still more spoiled. lol

You know, I have stayed in the Peabody Orlando-- nice hotel, and the ducks are a lot of fun!

I'm totally with Nettie, above, though. They make it sound like they're doing the ducks a favor by rotating them out after three months, but I'm not so sure. If I were a duck, I don't think a lifetime gig at the Peabody would be a real hardship. . .

Understandable. From farm life to "Life of Riley" back to survival on the farm, hmmm. Nope.
Maybe the Peabody Ducks raise awareness/interest in the species.
I am asked all the time, "Now, um, Why do you have ducks?"
(This question makes me irritable)
Puzzled, my thoughts scramble to, "Why wouldn't I?"

Last week an "angry human" stopped by and couldn't believe that I would take one of my Pekins
to the vet. On her way out she stated, "I would of just eaten her for dinner." Mortified, I gasp.
Then for the final blow, she yelled, "That dark guinea would make a pretty coat."

We haven't spoken again.
