The previously homeless chicken.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

That is just so cool.

Don't supplement too much corn, it is high in calories and not very nutritionally balanced.

OK, you may have convinced the 'Boss' with that story, but we want the true scoop.

Sounds like it was meant to be!

Why don't stray chickens ever wander up MY street?!? I'm jealous.

Let me also welcome you to BYC - if I had not discovered BYC I don't know what kind of life my flock might have had - I learn and keep learning more and more all the time here.

Oh, and if there are no pictures, it didn't happen. We need photos! ;-)

^ that's the col. I'll have to get better daylight pics, supposed to be nice tomorrow so I'll get pics of the other 2 and my first attempt @ a tractor. Keep in mind, I just started throing wood together, and changed plans more times than screws I actually used...

Alrighty, here's the yet to be finished tractor with the ladies. Supposedly it's 2 americana's, and I'm still not sure what col. Sanders is?

Putting the wheels on today, hopefully I'll get them out for a few hrs before dark.

Question: is it better to clip one wing or two? Don't want them going over the fence. And they've been in the tractor, inside my garage for a few days, they should consider the coop home and return on their own right?
