I don't really have a favorite month, but I do have favorite moments of different seasons.
The mornings in summer spent wedged in a tree, watching the activity around you- birds, squirrels, chickens in their run. Sometimes a robin or a chick-a-dee will light on a twig in the tree next door and sing. You can sing back.
Real late in the day during winter, when it is dark and everything is quiet, no noises at all- the snow has muffled them and everything is huddled up in it's nest, waiting. The trees straining under the weight off several inches of snow, which is still falling, are waiting. Everything is waiting, even the snow is waiting to hit the ground, covering the footprints, streets, and melted patches, making the yard seem unfamiliar.
A warm day in fall when the sun comes out and you can stop to enjoy it. The leaves have already fallen, padding the ground in crunchy farewell colors. The warmth feels weak and tired, and a little sad- the sun knows that soon the snow will come to smother it, too.
The days in spring when the ground starts to wake up, even though it is still cold and wet, and will be for a while. The trees sap quickens and their leaf buds start to stir, getting ready. Seeds in the ground get antsy, impatient to grow. The first warm spell that comes along, they let loose: the sap leaps, the buds crack open, the seeds sprout and jump and grow and push up through the soil to the sun, which is still a little weak but happy.

Ok, my fingers are a little cranky. Stop typing! SQ?

Edited to add, I didn't see the new posts. SQ applies to the number question.
