The Quackerettes Go Wading

Four days old and the girls were doing so well that we decided to let them go wading.




We gave them a glass pie pan (That's why it's so hard to see.) and after removing their food and water filled it with water at about 75 - 80° F. As you can see they really enjoyed it. Afterwards we replaced the puppy pads and they went to sleep. Big day for them and us.

That is too cute, now fill the bath tub up to their tummies [warm ] and watch them go to town... sit back and enjoy. Thanks for sharing with us, some of us are still waitng on our girls to go broody.It's so much fun to watch someone elses babies while we wait. .

OldGuy43 - I am finding your posts, duckling journey and YouTube commentary absolutely inspiring, entertaining and almost like watching a soap opera unfold before my eyes! Thank you

Now, my thoughts today are: just who/what is "imprinting" on your ducklings? You? Mrs OG43 ... your video camera ... or, (heaven forbid!) YouTube!!!

PS: It's Mothering Sunday, here in the UK, this Sunday and I've not asked for flowers (I can grow those!) and I haven't asked for chocolates (I don't eat those); initially, I asked for 2x Indian Runner ducks to add to my Khaki Trio. Since your journey, I've changed my mind and I've asked to be blessed with a teeny weeny 3 (hen)/2 (duck) egg incubator

And if I am duly blessed ... I'm using you as my learning curve
