We got 10 Buff girls, or at least that’s what we’re supposed to have. I guess we’ll see! So far so good, all alive and the one I was a bit worried about I can’t tell apart from the rest. The bigger girls like resting on top of the brooder, they seem to have their own little clique going on.

Another helpful tip when brooding ducklings is to place their water up on a baker's cooling rack. That elevates it above the shavings. You can even place a wide, shallow dish under the rack to catch splashes and dribbles.
