Hilda is still doing well! She is acting completely normal, eating well, and generally comfortable. You never would guess this bird had a near-death experience just a few short days ago. Temperatures are going down a bit in the near term, so hopefully the chickens will get a bit of a break, but it certainly would help if we got some rain.

Just as a fun addendum:
This is Hilda, she was Helga's mother- Helga is her only hatchling and Olga was born from a different bird. Hilda was one of the few chickens who moved cities with me, and was close to being one of my original chickens. I didn't use to live in a place that kept roosters, so Hilda never had the opportunity to have babies as a young bird and by the time I was able to have roosters, she was an infrequent layer. Hilda died earlier this summer, so Helga is particularly special to me, she carries on her mother's spirit.
