The RE-Build of Les Farms

That is so wonderful, yesterday I helped a friend get his puppy from the airport and the pup attached right to me. Her new owner is a man so they will have some adjusting to do. I plan on helping him train her though so I still get to see her grow.

That's nice of you to help him train her. Feel free to come help me train Henry too, though I have a feeling he will pretty easy to train. Already knows outside = poop and pee, but of course like any new puppy - he needs to know inside = to not pee + poop lol.

His potty behaviour is very predictable, so that's good. He's very laid back and calm. Very sleepy puppy. 5 minutes and he's out. haha

Look at these HUGE paws!

Yup he is gonna be a huge dog. We had LGD before for the sheep but have never heard of them for poultry until lately. When dad's outside dog goes to doggy heaven I plan on getting another one. We used to have to put a large chain around their necks conected to a truck tire just to slow the dogs down so the lambs could escape. This would last for about two months then they seemed to learn they they are not play toys. We lost 4 lambs with our first dog and had to do this with all 4 of them. We were getting the Marramma's and Great Pyranesse. All the dogs lived in the barn with the sheep even as puppies.

Yes Clementine also lived in the barn with them. She killed 1 chick her first night (sat on it) and played with a silkie to death at 4 months old, and was fine otherwise.

I guess that was lucky compared to your losses.

Henry has already met the basement babies and is so calm in personality that I have a good feeling about his training. *knock on wood*

He won't ever be a guardian dog. This breed is far too dependant on humans. They always want to be near you. SO he will be allowed to roam the farm during the day while we are at work, and also when we are home, but otherwise is an indoor dog. He will not be permitted with them until we have him trained and trusted for sure. So at least a year, maybe more.

Oh, Aoxa, Henry is too cute!!!!
