Yes there are 6 different compartments. 2ft 8 inches x 4 feet each. Leaving a little over 11 square feet per brooder. This wouldn't be used for older chicks.. just for newborns. I'll be using THESE:


to raise out my older chicks that I intend to keep for myself. They have pop doors.


I'll raise my layers and meaties in the two separate pens when they come at the end of the month. So excited about it.

Getting my Houdans & my EEs this weekend. Hoping the doors are at least on the barn when I get home tonight.

Goats going to stay in the chicken part of the barn until we can get plumbing in (they have to dig a trench under the goat room - so litter can't be spread down).

I'm finding this rebuild fasinating, I can't believe the lengths you need to go to insulate your barn for your colder months.

The brooders look awesome! Are you still going to have outlets at the back of each one? Storage underneath them, I'm guessing? (If you wondered, I'm taking notes. )
