The real deal on little giant incubator

I purchased the 9200 still air model...can i still be sucessfull without the fan and egg turner for pharo quail?? This model gets dogged quite a bit but i bought this incubator on a word of a friend...whats the scoop on this thing..junk or decent??

I bought this thing last month and successfully hatched 15 out of 29 chicken eggs on my first try. I recommend that you find a room that has a very consistent temperature. It was very sensitive to the temperature around it. I did not use an egg turner or fan. Seems like a good incubator.

You can be successful with a cardboard box and a light bulb, you will just be more successful with a fan and turner. I'd say use it once and see what you think. If it doesnt work or you don't like it, dont buy one, build one. There are hundreds of designs out there and you can make your own that does better than any of the sub $400-500 bators you will buy.

I used a LG 9200 and hatched 13/14 eggs today. Pretty good! I'm a complete rookie! I bought a USB computer fan and had it running in there. The temps were real stable when I added the fan.
