Joe woke up with a yawn stretching. She gpt dressed quickly before heading to the kitchen. She grabbed one of the two coffee mugs of the counter. "Thanks mom," she said before taking a sip of the bitter coffee.
 
(I'm going to just pick up where I left off.)

Wes and Maya walked out the front door of their grandmother's house. "Bye Grandma!" They shouted back before stepping off the deck. Maya got in and started the truck as Wes hopped into the passenger's seat. "Hey, I'm gonna need the truck today." He said and grinned.

"And why is that?" Maya asked and pulled out of the driveway.

"I'm takin' a girl to lunch." He replied and Maya dropped the subject. As they got to school, Maya parked in her regular spot for the students of the quarter. She was actually very smart but hated showing it. They unbuckled and grabbed their backpacks. Maya's bag was the same color as her eyes; cobalt blue. Wes' was cobalt blue as well but a bit more beat up. When they got to the front door, Wes headed to algebra and Maya walked towards her science class.
 
Kat's phone buzzed in her purse, and she took it out. She was surprised to see that Kendall had sent her several messages. 'Um, I'm not sure if my mom would allow that...' she replied as she grabbed a grano.a bar and her teal and purple backpack and ran out the door. She caught her mom before she left for work and asked her if she could go to a friend's house after school. Okay,' Kat texted to Kendall.

Jaden grabbed his green backpack and jumped on his bike, coasting downhill most of the way to school.
 
Kendall saw the message and texted back "Okay. Meet me at my car after school." She pressed send and got in her car and drove the long way to school.
 
Joe kissed her Mom's cheek and told her bye. She grabbed her back pack slinging it on her shoulder before walking to school.
