This is Birch. He is 11 months old, and desperately needs a good home. We recieved him in a group of EE pullets. Well, needless to say, it wasn't a girl. We tried to keep him but, we have another roo, and they tend to want to fight. He is great with my ladies. Gentle, watchful, aware, protective. He is a good boy, and I so hate to do this. I have no choice, in order to give all my chickens (him included) a good home, we cant have fighting. If anyone is interested, I am in Maine. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance. Please help! If we cant rehome him... I'm not sure what we do. I dont want to slaughter him. He is such a gentle roo. Someone, please give him a loving and good home. Thanks for reading this.

Anyone in NoFLo or SoGa getting rid of a silver laced/buff cochin roo or a buff/gold laced polish, I will come to get him. I'm also open to Silver/Gold Phoenix roos. It's funny because I ordered straight runs hoping to have a roo in each pen to protect them and got nothing but hens... mostly lucky, but still, I have lonely gals. lol
I have a silver laced cochin baby - he is only 5 weeks old.

I see so many threads about roosters that sadly need to be rehomed that go unanswered and the roosters are likely slaughtered. That's why I decided to make the rooster rehoming thread. On this thread you can post about your rooster that needs to be rehomed and if someone is looking to find a rooster they can post on this thread. Its that simple!

Here's a form I recommend you fill out about your rooster that needs to be rehomed:

I have a year old Buff Brahma rooster that I need to regime. His name is Elvis. He's a big boy and he needs hens closer to his size. My little hens backs are being torn up. He's so wonderful with his girls. He's always giving them his own treats that he takes from my hand. He was supposed to be a girl. If I had room to have a way to separate him from the hens he mates with more, I would keep him. I made up a song for him and he loves it and starts strutting and crowing when I sing to him.
