The rehoming a rooster thread

This is Gabriel, who started out as Gabby because he peeped at me so much. Then he turned out to be a male. Hatched 7/8/2021, the parents were sold to me by a chicken show person who said they're cuckoo Leghorns, and I live in east central Arizona. I'm looking for a home for him. He's about 6 months old. Sorry about the lousy picture, he would not sit still for pictures so I put him in the cage to take one.

Gabriel needs a home!
So beautiful.

Location: Seattle, WA
Roosters name: Blue Eagle (Blue)
Breed: Easter Egger Bantam
Weight: About 2.46 lbs
Age: 17 weeks, 4 days (2/1/22)
Size: Bantam, very small compared to full grown Australorp hens, a little more than half the size of Buff Orpingtons the same age.
About rooster (roosters personality, why you need to rehome this rooster, etc.):
I love snuggling with Blue. While he is not one that will nap on your lap, he will eat from your hand while he’s on the ground or in your lap. He is not aggressive with humans or his hens. He is from My Pet Chicken and vaccinated against Marek’s disease. I would keep him, but we are not allowed to have roosters, unfortunately, and also Blue is crowing. I really need to find him a home, as the neighbors have said things about his crowing. Any help is greatly appreciated. He is free to a good home, and is not for meat. I am willing to drive up to two hours. Thank you so much in advance!

I too have an abundance of Roosters & this is difficult for me because they are all sweethearts & I hug them often. ❤️

As of right now I have too many chickens...oh good grief I hate to say that as I love them all, but it's not fair to them, too many Roos for the proper Roo to Hen ratio. My feathered friends mean alot to me, so I'm hoping to find another person that would love them & treat them well.

I am in Delaware & willing to drive & deliver, within reason (sorry but the west coast is a bit too far Lol).

So...I have some very handsome & sweet boys! My flock is basically Egg laying breeds, each breed in separate areas to prevent cross breeds & I have their parents, if you'd like photos of them as well.

1.) Buff Orpington - named Romeo

2.) Wyandotte Blue Lace Red - named Jaylin (he has a Hen, named Autumn, Blue Lace Red, too) I've had offers for them but they wanted to keep them in basement cages to breed, not a good life, so...yeah, quality of life means more than money.

3.) Easter Egger Red & Black - named Valentino (my entire EE flock lays beautiful blue like a Robin Egg tone)

Due to predators, my flock is protected with awesome coop & large predator proof pens, I've only free ranged while I'm right there gardening with them & I've had hawks swooping in...my boys are protective of their hens, but they have not been total free rangers.
I don't have a scale but they're in excellent health.
Hatched May 2020.
They're fed nutritious feed constantly, treats of scratch with peanuts & black sunflower, weekly hanging cabbage or corn, watermelon, cantaloupe or squash & I have a live mealworm farm.

Serious inquiries only please.

Eggs...so the beautiful blue from my EEs, yes Valentino hatched from one so he'd be a great asset to your EE hens.
You see 4 different tones of brown eggs in my basket...
The Wyandottes lay the palest tan & my Buffs lay the next darker tan.
(The darkest 2, dark tan & brown, are RIR & Maran)

My suggestion is post them in a rooster re-homing group on Facebook in your state(If you can bear to get rid of them) You can always make a rooster bachelor pad just for the guys. You will not find perfect homes for all of them and may be forced to keep them yourself!

I know. Well, if no one can adopt my Roos, on this spring "to do" list is build coop #3. The boys don't want to be hanging in the bachelor pad anymore. 🙄
