The Rest In Peace thread

I've only had chicks for about 6 weeks, but unfortunately I've already lost one to FTT. I never gave this baby a proper name because it only lived a week, and I knew in my heart the whole time it wouldn't make it. I just called her Sleepy. She was beautiful, and I wish I'd gotten to see what she grew up to look like.

looks like a splash bantam cochin thats sad i love bantams i dont have any myself yet but my brother works as murray mcmurray which is in my hometown and he promised to hand pick 2 splash bantam cochins and a white silkie and a blue silkie for me we are getting them in april

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's what she was. The other day, Rural King had a whole bunch of them in their assorted bantam bin. But I'm getting 2 older birds this weekend and an order from Meyer at the end of the month, so I didn't get any. Once my current bantams are old enough to tell their genders, I may go back and get a couple more.
