We are having these chicks DNA tested and will find out their gender in a few days. One of them already started crowing and went to a happy new home today. Can you guess their gender correctly?

(they are all six weeks old)

#2- Bantam Cochin

#3- Silkie

#4- Silkie

#5 Cochin/Silkie cross

#6- Cochin/Silkie Cross (frizzled)

I'm curious on the silkie cochin crosses--do you know which parent was which? I'm testing nicalandia's info that a silkie rooster crossed with a yellow legged hen (cochins have yellow legs) makes sex linked chick..females have black legs/skin, males have yellow. That would bear out here, if the parents are the correct breeds.

Not sure about the parents. I bought fertile hatching eggs from a mixed flock. Good question, though!
