The Rhodebar thread!

Hope you don't gamble much.LOL Seems thats the hard part, having to hatch so many out just to see what you have. Good luck with the future hatches.

well here are some pictures. the girls would not cooperate. there is one pullet who's coloring has more of the barring pattern that i was looking for. two of the roos are older and I like one of them. the other cockerels, it's still a bit too early to tell.

not stoked on his tail

so far I'm liking him the best

here's the pullet with a bit of the barring more present and more red

when I free range them next, I'll take some better photos.

Nice looking chick!!

The white ones by 3 weeks tend to have beautiful barring on their wings. I am interested to see what they look like as they grow out. Are you hatching more trying to get some reds? We hatched a few more this week and the odds were definitely more black this time.

Gorgeous!!!

Thanks Makomd, I was hoping you would comment on your chicks!

I have 11 eggs in lockdown now, and another 22 cooking, two more weeks on those. But I had to put the breeders back in the layer coop in order to separate my Norwegian Jaerhons, so the next hatch will be the last for a few weeks at least. I'm hoping to get some red in the next two hatches!
