The right colour?

i have a two week old pekin bantam in buff but her new wings are speckely does this mean she won't be buff?

Could you post a photo? Lots of buff birds have what is known as "mealiness" when they are young, or even when they are older. Mealiness usually appears as darker speckles or irregularity of color on certain feathers. It is a fault when showing chickens, but doesn't mean the bird isn't a buff.

I've never raised a buff bird, so I'm not 100% sure if that is normal or not. The general fluff color looks buff, though, so I think it is probably a buff. Could also be a Red.
