yes she did; didn't struggle or anything even when I was digging around in her foot. And this is NOT a 'pet' chicken. I don't know if it's because she old and not feeling well or if it's because she knew I was trying to help her or what.

I made my first suet cake today using Mumsy recipe . I just put mine into an 8X8 cake pan since I have a big suet holder.

Thanks! My background is writing/journalism/research so this has been a lot of fun to do. Bee has shared so much great stuff - all I have to do is go through and "harvest" the good posts, patch them together with a few of her other comments, edit to put it in the right order and insure the content is complete for readers and post it.

On Monday I'm hoping to contact the NuStock folks and see if they'll sponsor the blog. Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll help us out. You just never know with big companies.

Well the coop, chickens and ducks are all done. That is quite a job. I have heard repeat in 5 days, 7 days and 10 days. I did not see any bugs of any kind on anyone today, however I was not taking any chances and everyone got it regardless. I did see one hen scratching and one hen shaking her head after the dousing. All that fine dust every where. My lungs hurt. I can taste it. I had to take a shower. I used the whole bottle of Neem Oil and I am going to have to purchase a new one for the new treatment. Everyone loves all the new bedding and is having so much fun rearranging nests.

I have to wear a mask when dusting or any cleaning of the coops.
