The roof is not my duckling, but I will raise it.

Quick duck housing question regarding roofing. I’m planning out my outdoor housing for dux and was brought the options of either wire roof or corrugated fiberglass roofing.
is there a pro/con to either option? I’m in Southern CA so I don’t think rain will be much of a problem. Snow definitely won’t be.
Let me hear some input!

For the run? I have welded wire across my run's roof for my ducks, along with a few panels of metal roofing to stop rain and snow from coming in. I think that wire is the best regarding predator protection, provided you apply it right. You're in CA, where there isn't much rain or any snow, usually corrugated roofing is used to block precipitation while letting in light. I personally think you should use a strong wire with small grids to get the best predator protection. Also think about shade. Shade is extremely important in the summer months or in any hot, sunny weather.

I’m thinking I’ll make the sides about 3’ high, with 1/4” hardware cloth running from the ground up 2’ and chicken wire along the top 1 foot.
