I am right there with you.
I asked my husband to get rid of our Rooster this week. A part of me is sad to lose George, but the other part of me will be relieved to see him go. He is a good rooster for the girls, gentle, he shares his treats with them and has been a good leader for the flock, he even sleeps in and does crow until 6:30am but he has gotten more and more possesive of the hens and we can't take it anymore.
We want our boys to help feed and care for the chickens and they LOVE to collect the eggs but we would have to be on high alert to make sure George was locked up or on the other side of the yard. Then he started coming after me last week if I got too close to his girls. So bye-bye George.
