The run is almost done!

    DH just finished enough of the run this morning that the girls got to go out and explore for the first time. The area of our yard in the back of the house is fenced in already so we built the chicken area there, figuring the fence would add some extra protection. Here are a few pictures.

    Here's the coop. The interior floor space is 4'x5' with 2 exterior nesting boxes.

    Here's DH starting to build the run. The run will be 15'x15' and 6' high. The sides are covered with 1/2" hardware cloth which is also buried 1' down with a 10" apron.

    Here's the run pretty much completed. DH still needs to cover the wooden fence with hardware mesh and bury an apron on that side.

    Very well done! The walk in run is our weekend project next weeks. Did you use pressure treated lumber? It looks very nice!
