The scales are falling off his legs?!

Hi there, my friend has Taiwan chickens and some of his roosters have this weird cut/blister thing. It’s only happening to the roosters and not the hens. The first one that had this thing on its leg died because he couldn’t walk on it and ended up not eating, now there’s a second one. I’ve posted a picture of the most recent one that’s occurred and the second picture is of the one that died (the purple stuff is some medicine) Does anyone know what this is? (There’s no sharp objects where they are and the roosters are separated from one another, they can only see each other so it’s not from a fight)

I saw your friend's thread the other day, but I couldn't come up with any inspiration. Now, it looks like a sort of tissue eating bacteria might be involved, and that would mean trying to locate a good all purpose oral antibiotic.

Where are you guys located? Can you find a vet to sell you an antibiotic? Can you order it off the internet where you are?
