The Scarlet Letter

I had to read that dreadful book several times over for my degree. You have my greatest sympathy.

I have my first journal entry and emailed it to my teacher to ask if I grasped it correctly before moving on. This counts as a 3 test grades, 2 journal etries make up each part of a test. Yeah, it's confusing

Blah. Memories!

i know how ya feel. dont have to read that 1 yet. but i do have summer reading. its the giver this year. im thinking dude, this is like a 6th grade book at best. i read the book months ago. now its summer and i have a whole packet to fill out and ive forgotten a lot. so now i have to get and read the book again. i also have to make notes like u. sad thing is im in advanced classes. yet they r having us read such a low level book.

Do you have a friend in the class that you can bounce ideas back and forth with? Analyzing literature can be so much easier that way, because one person will pick up on things that the other one didn't, and by comparing notes you'll both understand what's going on better.

Ap Language and Compostion is the class, UGH. I don't want AP. Oh well. I didn't even sign up for this! I wanted just English 3, but my test score was too high.

You can't switch out of AP? at my school the department head has to allow one to take AP. I can't help you with the book, my 10th grade teacher just quickly summerized it for us because he didn't like it lol. that was my favorite eng. class. glad to see other schools have to do summer work lol.

And I believe that was the story we did after old yeller.

Here if not enough students volenteer for AP, they'll add in enough kids to fill up the class based on teacher suggestions from the grade before. That was they don't have a half full AP and a hall full reg class to cover in the budget.

So if only 14 kids sign up, they'll find 18 more to have a class of 32 kids.
