The SECRET to Hard-Boiled Eggs!

Wanted to share my secret also... :old well OK its not a secret:idunno

I like eating boiled eggs when they are warm,,,, so the ice-bath is definitely out for me.
I boil for about 8 minutes, and then peel when still hot. If the eggs are fresh,,,, well they don't peel well. If the eggs are about 2 week old, or more, they do peel well,,, even when hot.
When I was a little bitty child, mom used to serve me an egg in the fashion in pix below.

I just have not seen anyone in recent times serving eggs in this fashion.
My eggs were soft boiled for 3 minutes.
Yes one of these is from Old Skool times.

I read your article, and it is informative.:thumbsup

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:highfive:

Good article ..... But soft boiled, as @cavemanrich suggests, are my personal favorite ! Strips of toast plunged into a warm, gooey yoke, can't be beat IMO. :drool

I haven't seen those fancy SB egg holders since I was a young'in ..... I usually use a BIG shot glass to hold my soft boiled eggs. :p
