Amelia kept walking as steadily as she could, and didn’t look back at Ben feeling humiliated. When she walked out the door she sat down beside the door frame too tired to walk any farther. Amelia wrapped her arms around her knees and laid her head on her knees and began to sob.

Ben could hear her and sighed, he didn't know if he should go and help or just stay where he was.

Amelia was lonely. She longed to be comforted, but she wouldn't go to Nate. He had enough problems, and worrying about her wouldn't help. She tried to stop crying, but the more she tried the more her depression seem to burst out in forms of tears.
