Carolyn had no intention of speaking. She angrily scratched parts off of whatever was in her hand, and looked at it closely, trying to take her mind off of the problem at hand. She chipped a bit more at her project, rolled it around in her hand then sticking it back in her pocket, pulling something else like it out, working with it.
