Xander was curious. He had seen lots of animals before- rabbit, mouse, badger, squirrel, even a coyote but he had never seen, smelt or even heard of a human before. The young cub was on a mission to meet the "human" and even make a new friend he thought excitedly.

Obsidian growled angrily, ordering Xander to come to him now.

Fern shivered.

Misty heard a yelp from Obsidian and turned around, only to see him struggling in the hunters net. She launchered herself at the hunter, claws unsheved. Her needle sharp teeth bit deep on to his wrist, biting down hard until she could hear his wrist bone splintering.

The hunter screamed in agony and reached for his needle that would infect foxes.

Obsidian said softly "Run Misty. Take care of our children. They need you."

Misty released her grip from his wrist and dropped to the ground. "I love you" she screamed and gave him one last loving look before running into the den. She quickly blocked the hole enterance with a large rock and some dirt and then ran to the back of the den, rapping herself around the frightened cubs.

Obsidian shed a tear as the hunter picked up the net and started to carry him away. His love for Misty had never been so great, and it seemed as if it would all end now. The hunter slammed hi into his truck, drove off, to a fox-killing facility. The hunter left, and returned about two hours later, a bit drunk. He reached for the metal net, and cut it pen, grabbing Obsidian with his bare hand, which should have had a glove over it. Obsidian promptly bit his hand, making the hunter drop him, then ran off to the nearest bush and hid. He was determined to make it back to his pups and mate whom he loved so dearly.

Suddenly, an infected fox jumped out and bit Twilight, who started shaking all over. Autumn and Salem ran away, towards Arko's den.

Arko pushed them down the hole and said,"I will give you pups"
