:barnie It seems the sex fairy arrived for my already sexed pullets at 6 weeks. I originally was going to order 10, but I chickened out. The coop wasn’t started yet and we are new to chickens. I reduced my order to 7. One girl, the Easter egger is most likely a cockerel, to many signs pointing to yes. This morning I found the Easter egger beating up and chest bumping on one of my questionable chicks the BO.
All roosters will be going to a new home. Luckily we already have that.
So my big question is if it is easier to intergrate new chicks when they are younger or is it easier to wait till older. I have a couple options to get to the number I want again.

Option 1 A place sells started pullets by me. They would be 8 weeks old when I get them so essentially the same age as my gals. I would have to quarantine for a month, so they would all be 12 weeks when put together.
Option 2 get baby chicks again. Not sure when the would be able to go together, but the earliest I am guessing is 6 weeks??? So oldest batch would be 12-14weeks when this happens depending on where I get my chicks from.

Option 3 wait a year and see how much damage the chicken math has done by this time in reducing my numbers further.

If you made it this far Thanks for your help!

Updated to add.. just found out the feed store will mostly likely have BR and BO in next week:wee. So far our favorite chicks. They will be from ideal. My chicks are from Meyers.
Waiting to hear what the pullets might be.
