They are precious! I remember ThinMint chipped her beak because she was trying to peck something with the other chickens, its crazy how fast it grows back!

Oh, and on your "Drawing Your Chickens" thread, isn't the technique you use to do your artwork called blockshading? Because the way you do it compared to blockshading is really similiar.

Hmm, I’m not sure. I don’t know much about techniques- I just did what felt right for me, but after looking it up, it does look really similar!

Shelly’s first egg was a bit wonky, but I was so proud of her anyway. It was a gorgeous minty blue color with brown speckles. She was kinda grumpy though:

She now lays mossy green eggs, and she loves to spend time in the next box. She spends hours making her nest and sitting with her egg, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up going broody one day:
