Jayden had kept his eye on Charity through most of the day, but when the bell rang, his mind went straight to the apple pie his grandma was sure to have ready. He unlocked his bike from the rack, and pulled it out, hanging his backpack on the front with the straps over the handlebar, then jumped on. Jay noticed Skye walking down the sidewalk about fifty feet from him as he rolled out of the school gate, and immediately stood up in his seat and started pumping the pettles to catch up. "Hey, Skye!" He called to her as he sped up behind her on the road, a wide grin on his face.

Skye looked up sharply over her shoulder when she heard her name called out suddenly, then the sound of bike tyres on tarmac. The look of confusion that had been held in her expression disappeared when she saw Jayden though. Oh, him. She thought as she tried to remember the boys name. A smile was quickly plastered over her face- not exactly fake, but more of habit when greeting people. "Oh, hi," Was her extravagant answer
