"Good" Skye gave an indifferent nod. She could see her house ahead now, and saw to her relief no car parked out the front. She would be on her own, at least for a while anyway

Arwen sighed. She had left Kevin at home while she went to get food. Despite knowing he could change into a cat if anybody broke in, she still felt worried about him. I really sound like an overprotective parent, she thought grimly. She kicked a rock from the sidewalk onto the street.

Will and Miri (Corbin and Drew had run off to go do their own thing, of course. No taming those two.) walked down the street. Then suddenly, Miri leapt forward and began running.

"Hey!" Will exclaimed, then ran after her. He caught up with her quickly enough, just as she tripped looking back at him. He, trying to catch her, fell down with her, and they both ended up in a tangle on the grass by the sidewalk.

Which wouldn't have been all that embarrassing if they hadn't fallen right at Arwen's feet.

Mark smiled then glanced to Arianna and back to Star "Then there are some things you need to know. We are being followed by hunters, which is why we have come to sleep here instead of out there. We are trying to loose them and the ferals who are also after us"
