Zack nodded in response to Mark, and started towards the shop alongside the twins.

Ryan fell behind and followed them, feeling slightly dejected now that Zack was taking lead, though he was still very happy that they were getting the help they needed.

They reached the shop, and Zack jugged in, "Joseph! I got this dude here who might be interested in a–"

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I rather squat man rushed from the back of the store. He didn't look like the type of person who would usually want to run a shop that specialized in the equipping of outdoorsy folk, but he didn't have to be, he knew what makes money, and what he had going did exactly that.
Mark and Ari studied the squat man as he came out of the back and into the area of the shop where they were. "Hello, I am Mark, this is Ari. I am looking for a job." he said. He knew not to judge based on appearance but he doubted this guy used the items he sold. Not that it mattered if he did, Mark knew enough of camping and the equipment needed to be able to sell it to people.

"It is very nice to meet you both," Joseph said in a quick, robotic way, he wanted to get to business, so he continued quickly, "I have jobs, lots of jobs. Are you more of an indoor or outdoor person? If you are–"

Zack cut across him in a confident tone and answered the question meant for Mark, "He's outdoorsy, very outdoorsy,"

"Oh, yes," Joseph turned his attention back to Mark and continued, again, "Well then, would you be interested in a grounds maintenance, or maybe a boat–"

"He wants what I have, the works." Zack cut him off for the second time.

Joseph looked a little disappointed, he had been hoping to pass off one of the lower pay, less desirable jobs. But he couldn't complain, he needed the higher paying jobs filled aswell. "Well, I will get the paperwork, then," He said with a polite smile, then turned and walked away to the back of the store and into his office.

Zack gave Mark a wide grin once Joseph was gone, "I do guided hikes and mountain biking, boat rental, you know, the good stuff, didn't want him givin' ya one of cheep jobs."

Mark chuckled at Zack's handling of Joseph. "You seem to know him well. Before you ask, yes I can do those things, I have before, just not here obviously."

Ari grinned and looked from one to another of them, thankful for the help both boys had given to them.

"Good, though he probably wouldn't know the difference if you had no idea what you were doing." He said in a conspiratorial way, then continued in his normal, upbeat, confident tone, "I don't actually know him that well, but he's family, my uncle. Well, my sister's uncle, my step uncle, it's complicated, we have different dads," he gave a slightly apologetic smile, then looked around to where Ryan was picking up a compound hunting bow from one of the displays close to them.

Zack smiled widely, "Hey, I forgot to tell you, your special order boots and bow came in this morning, the bow's way better them that one." He gestured to the bow Ryan was holding.

Ryan smiled slightly, them lifted the to shoulder height, pulling back the string all the way with right hand, "Yeah, this one is off-balanced, and it could use a degree or so more curve to the upper and lower limbs," Ryan said more to himself than anyone else, then let out the tension in the string and took a closer look at it, "And the limb bolts could be sturdier, and the grip feels wrong."

"Ah, well I have no clue what any of that meant," Zackary laughed.

Joseph then came out of the back room, holding a clipboard, "I don't need much information, just the basics: full name, the date you'll be working here till, billing address, and a few other small things." He held it out for Mark to take, planing on going back to his office once the boy took it.

Skye looked down at the pavement as she walked, examining the smooth concrete beneath her. There was a light breeze that played with her hair, gently moving in her eyes. She shoved it away though and turned her gaze up ahead again as the school came into view. A deep sigh escaped her at the thought of the tedious work that lay in store for her, but she kept walking

((Open, anyone can jump in if you feel like it :) ))
