My first Silver Laced Wyandottes and a Barred Rock. Just got them yesterday at 2 days old from the feed store. I have 2 GLW gals and these will compliment them.

I just got one of these lovely ladies from a feed store today. Poor girl is about 4 weeks old and was in a bin with to many other birds and was getting pecked.

She is missing a bunch of her feathers from her back, but seems so much happier since I got her home! I wanted to buy them all, but my husband said no. I can't wait to see what she'll look like when she recovers.

I was getting more chicks today to replace the boys in my original flock (I started it in March this year) that I will have to cull. I waited in line too long and by the time I got to the cashier I said, "Oh, what the heck, put a Silver Laced Wyandotte on the bill too and I'll go back and grab one." So far I haven't bought a chicken just for looks but I couldn't resist in the end.
