opinions on little girl please-appx 12 weeks in pic-bantam slw SQ or no?
I agree. Let her mature a bit more then start assessing her around 4-5 months old. She will display more mature plumage along with a better depiction of her type. So far she looks to have potential!

She need more time to mature and yellower legs.

Hello all I breed SLW and wanted your opinion on this bantam rooster

he is my current flock rooster
Very nice type! Do you have a clearer picture of him and some of your hens? Also do you show? From what I can see in the picture he would do well.

Finally got some updated photos of the birds!

Pullet from 2012 about 10 months old

Pullets from 2012 pullet oin left same as the top and pullet on the right is about 11-12 months.

2012 cockerel. His coloring is dirty so he will more than likely be a cull.

I'm in south Florida and have to get rid of my SLW rooster. I have a few, but this one is crowing already, so he may become a problem for us. He's 3 months old and non-agressive. Eventually we'll be getting rid of most, if not all of them. Just giving them a chance before they all start yappin' away. If you're in the area and keep him, please let me know. Here's a pic.

I bought eggs on ebay for SLW. The photos of the parent SLWs were beautiful. Had the right combs and the lacing was really nice. I just wanted one pullet. I hatched 6 eggs. Of the 6, 3 have straight combs! What a bummer! Two of the rose combed ones look like males to me and the one I think is a female is just not thriving. I had to help that one out of the shell! It's just so hard for beginners to know where to go to get good quality! Luckily I have a lady who sells chicks at her store and she will buy these from me and sell them as pet quality chickens. But, I really wanted a nice looking pullet!!! Boo!

Sarge looks great, and intimidating! These are some great looking birds. Our SLW roo has a rose comb, but he's not show quality. Better not crow too much, or he's dinner.

I may have posted this picture already, it's about a week old.
