The Silver Laced Wyandotte Thread

Is that true that SLWs as a breed have more energy than other breeds? I brought in 2 pullets, an SLW and a Wellsummer, about a month ago. They do everything together and it seems like the Wyandotte has twice the energy as the my Wellie. I almost started to think my Wellie wasn't feeling well or something.

It just depends on the bird itself. I have some really energetic SLW and I also have lazy ones that sit in the sun all day bossing everyone around lol.

Out of my 12 chicks(6 pullets from a feed store and 6 straight run from someone else), I have just 2 pure silvers, and now, at just about 2 weeks old, one is looking rooish, his head attributes are changing, (I'm not sure the proper term here...) Growing in size and changing reddish, pinkish. And the other isn't changing on the had at all. What's the difference between wattles and Combs?
I'll try to get a picture later, I'm gonna need more than two hands....

Wattles are the red semi-circle things that hang down under either side of your chickens mouth. The comb is the area that grows between their eyes and back toward the top of their head. There are different types of combs. Your wyandottes should have a rose comb.

Here is Oppenheimer and a few of his ladies. I will be hatching and showing them this season . So far they have done quite well in the show ring :).
